PHOTOS: Rosemont High Homecoming Parade

Rosemonters showed their spirit at Friday's parade down Kiefer Boulevard, which included students from elementary and middle schools as well as the high school.

The fourth annual Rosemont High School homecoming parade made its way down Kiefer Boulevard Friday afternoon, to the cheers of the community and onlookers.

Students from the high school and feeder elementary and middle schools participated in the event, along with community organizations and public officials.

I want to commend the schools for coming together to make this happen, along with the community associations, vintage car clubs, law enforcement, politicians etc. The horses (go Ms Martinez!) were an added plus. The kids, both participants and spectators looked like they had a ball! It was the best homecoming parade ever since it was started 4 years ago.

We also commend the staff and organizers for a much improved parade from last year. We particularly noticed that you took to heart the need for the American flag to lead the parade. Always a treat to have the River Cats "Dinger" there. Keep up the good work.

We have only lived in the area for a couple of years and this year we were able to participate in the parade with our 1950 Chevy and it was such an Honor. All the children from Elementary to High school and residents had so much spirit! Thank you for all the hard work, it definitely showed in the result of a great event.

Thumbs up to Chris Gosney, Andrew Maalouf, Gary Vorce, Principal Leise Martinez, the Rosemont Athletic Boosters, Marla VanLamingham and everyone else that helped put on one of the greatest Homecoming Parades in Rosemont’s history. We have our work cut out for us next year. I’m proud to part of such a spirited community.
