Rosemont Student Drowns in Pool

Alvin Nguyen, a 15-year-old Rosemont High School student, died over the weekend after drowning in a swimming pool, according to the Sacramento Police Department.

At the 2500 block of Norte Dame Drive, Nguyen was noticed floating in the pool at a supervised birthday party, and was pulled out by friends who were also swimming, police said. The kids called 911 around 10:22 p.m. and Nguyen was taken to the hospital, where he later died, according to police

There are no signs of foul play, the SPD reported.
