Edward Kelley, the oldest operating school in northern California, is listed on the National Register of Historic…More Places. It currently operates as a parent participation preschool, where parents or guardians participate in workshops with their children and other families one day each week. Children can participate every day.
The school has a small capacity—only 25 students can be enrolled at a time—and the cost of one five-month semester is $300. It's operated by the Sacramento City Unified School District.
Edward Kelley Preschool, which was originally known as the Brighton School, is located on Bradshaw Road. It was formerly located on Folsom Boulevard before being moved. The Rancho Cordova Bicentennial Committee restored the school in 1975.
