Juveniles detained here attend El Centro Junior or Senior High School, the Sacramento County Office of Education's program for residents of Juvenile Hall.
Juvenile Hall has a swimming pool, gymnasium and courtyards for recreation, as well as on-site medical and mental health staff. The staff also provides a Detention Enrichment Program, which organizes group activities to encourage better social behavior and interaction.
Religious services are provided by the Juvenile Justice Chaplaincy Volunteer Program.
