Cody, are you cutting and pasting old news. Keep the news in Elkgrove. "Come on man"

I'm not from Sac and I'm die hard Bulls Fan. As an NBA fan I really hope that the commissioner andRead More owners vote on keeping the Kings in Sacramento. It's not the fans fault that Seattle wasn't able to keep their team and also not their fault that their team owners decided not to invest in better players and instead invest in a building casino and resort in Las Vegas which failed and now want the city of sacramento and their community to suffer. Sacramento deserves the kings not Seattle. They can't support all the teams they have now. How are they going to support another team?? Seattle worry about supporting the Mariners when King Felix isn't pitching and the worry about getting an NBA team back to Seattle.

This will be great for the school and the community. Coach Mel Jackson RHS Mens VarsityRead More Basketball.

Not a problem, go with pressure cookers! Add a couple back straps and you have a waterproofRead More container that also serves as an ice chest for some snacks, and that cold beer after the race.
Jonathan Koolpe May 2, 2013 at 07:01 pm
Truly, the participants should boycott the race over this asinine backpack ban. I'm not a runner,Read More but I would do so if I had previously had plans to attend this event. But I already boycott doing any business in SF over the unconstitutional red light cameras and the OUTRAGEOUS fines that they have imposed for these pernicious, non-human devices so I guess this is just another reason to not visit SF.
Bil Paul May 2, 2013 at 04:18 pm
Since we want to sanitize the race as much as possible and remove any public concern about bombings,Read More we must take the name "Breakers" out of Bay to Breakers. "Breakers" could imply the possibility of someone getting hurt.
Victor Calderon April 30, 2013 at 06:57 pm
Great news for Kings fans in Carmichael and Fair Oaks, some of whom probably work at Arco!
Mark Gold April 30, 2013 at 04:22 pm
@Elk Grove Laguna Forums, cutting programs is not the answer, finding out where the waste inRead More taxpayer (and lottery) dollars is and eliminating it is the answer. As Donna said, it's the union and the administration to blame for much of this mess. Cutting music, physical education and art among other programs only hurts our children and does nothing to improve the quality of education they are receiving.
John Herby Hancock April 30, 2013 at 04:19 pm
I think the Kings should go back to Kansas City.
chris stoots March 15, 2013 at 02:55 pm
...shades of Prop 13 are starting to really reveal themselves, ...you all voted for it, now you getRead More to enjoy the intelligence of your decision making process, ...I'm not making fun of your stupidity, or laughing at you, ...I'm suffering the consquences of your mistake as well as everyone else is, ...

Maybe we should revisit the bond issue that passed several years ago, to maintain parks that theRead More CRPD used instead to get new offices, and to move their employees to defined pension plans. I have lived here since the park was built, and have yet to see any maintenance by the park district in maintaining the ball fields, the dugouts, the fencing anything. They can't even replace the BBQ pits that are burnt out, nor replace the benches that were taken out 10 years ago. They are the most irresponsible district ever. They should pay the little league for all of the time that they spend keeping it clean. Disband the district and turn it over to a private landscaping service.
Harold February 13, 2013 at 09:02 pm
Maybe they should concentrate on why the streets are falling apart and not being paved, why theRead More parks aren't being taken care of why Rosemont Plaza is empty, why they are allowing the school district to close community schools, and a thousand other serious issues in the County instead of wasting time on developing a resoltuion whether or not a basketball team stays in the city. Guess I was wrong and all the serious issues have been taken care of.
Roberto February 7, 2013 at 05:42 pm
I'm really tired of hearing about all this. Like we're really suppose to care? Kevin Johnson andRead More the Kings need to hop a bus and relocate in Seattle. Adios Muchacos!

Actually, Trisha, you are wrong about the title. This article is posted on multiple Patch pages. I'mRead More looking at it under the Banning-Beaumont Patch. I also assume that when Peter posted, the article DID have a channel #, which was removed after his post. It wasn't rude, it was simply pointing out a discrepancy in the article, which was then corrected. Thanks, Peter, for pointing that out to the editors.
Trisha Bowler February 3, 2013 at 01:46 pm
I re read the above article and didn't see a channel number. All I saw was CBS. Don't know whereRead More you live but the title of this page is called "Diamond Bar-Walnut" Patch and here CBS is located on Channel 2. You were rude to the editor!

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has unveiled. the country's newest fighter jet . In other newsRead More the USA has gone soft. We are worried about how our pets are dressed.

Another cutie. JJ, thank you for conquering your fears to show your team love!
Roberto January 30, 2013 at 02:54 pm
I won't miss the Kings a bit. Seattle will love them. Blanket advertising will take care of that.Read More With increased ticket prices, parking, the cost of a beer a couple cokes and nachos, a mid-income guy with a couple boys can no longer afford attend a game. Buying a Kings Jersey? Forget it, it's as much as a tank of gas.
Tom Brown January 29, 2013 at 02:29 pm
Not the way that they play now.
Cody Kitaura (Editor) January 29, 2013 at 02:05 pm
Thanks for that comment, j braun. I think the data definitely shows how NBA interest in Seattle hasRead More changed sine the Sonics left (7.5 percent average from 2000-2007, 8.9 percent in 04-05). I'm curious, how do you feel about the way this back and forth between Seattle and Sacramento has been playing out so far? I haven't heard much from Seattle residents on it.
M.Legison January 23, 2013 at 10:39 pm
Typical far left progressive. Hates business and profit and wants government influence in all facetsRead More of our lives. What possible business of it is his who trades commodities in an open market? Threatening MSFT is funny. Like they need to be here.
Michael R Webb January 23, 2013 at 10:25 pm
What a jerk. It is not microsoft putting up the money it is Ballmer! Why did he let the MaloofsRead More screw the city so bad with idiot mentality. Those guys are living off the fathers genius and they did nothing but obliterate his reputation. Let them go. They have the lowest value of any of the NBA teams.Good by to Cousin's crying. He never was and never will be!!!
Pat Davis January 23, 2013 at 07:41 pm
Steincrook-pull your foot out of your mouth. The Kings were not born and raised in Sacramento, theyRead More come from another state.
Bob Fry January 22, 2013 at 11:45 pm
@Roberto: Hurray! Great cities aren't that way because of some professional sports game. SacramentoRead More for years has been distracted with the Maloots and their Drama Queens. Hurry up and leave.
Roberto January 22, 2013 at 04:36 pm
Sacramento needs to dismiss this as a bad mistake, go down the road and get on with business.Read More Sacramento is going broke but 2 things will quickly help get it back on track. (1.) Get rid of the Kings. (2). Get rid of the mayor. It's that simple.
Sanford Kozlen January 22, 2013 at 05:11 am
It looks like the sale of the controlling equity in the Kings is consummated and binding. ThatRead More means if the Johnson group wants to buy the controlling interest in the Kings, they would have to buy it from the Hansen group. We have to remember that the NBA could treat the sale and the request to move the franchise as two separate transactions. A better strategy would probably be to help Mr. Stern and the NBA out by allowing the sale and movement of the franchise in exchange for an immediate expansion franchise for Sacramento. That would probably cost a lot less and would leave money for contracts for new management and players and some left over to help build a new arena. Seattle would be the owners of the current Kings management and player contracts which I think are over valued. We must remember that the Maloof's increased the payroll by, I think, about $10 million this year, and I am not sure that bought much. I think an expansion franchise with new management and players may help fill the arena, which the current team and management does not.

All great memeories by everyone thus far. My family is in it's 64th consecutive year aa a seasonRead More tix holder and we were fortunate to have attended three. In New Orleans in 1990 the restaurants were so crowded, you had to share tables and we were lucky to sit with Denver fans the day before for lunch and dinner. All they could say was how everybody in Denver knew they were going to lose and that they were just happy to be there. Final score: 55-10.
