April 21: Neighborhood Watch, Prom Photos, More

Find out what's happening in and around Rosemont today.

Are you tired of the clouds and rain yet? Or maybe you’re just happy that winter’s over (I know I am!). Whether you’d prefer to stay indoors today, or want to enjoy the warmer temperatures, you can still get out and enjoy what Rosemont has to offer. The Rosemont Neighborhood Watch will meet today, Rosemont High’s girls softball team will play, the Arcade Library has story time for preschool-aged children and Rancho Cordova Library has a writing group to help you realize your writing dreams.

  1. Get involved in the Rosemont community today! The will hold its quarterly Neighborhood Watch Coordinators meeting today at 7 p.m. All Rosemont residents and area business owners are invited to attend to learn more about how they can help the Neighborhood Watch program. The meeting will take place in the Multi-Purpose Room at .
  2. While the threat of rain may be looming in those ominous-looking clouds, still has a fun-filled afternoon ready for you. The girls softball team will host Foothill High School today at 4 p.m. Get out there and cheer on your Wolverines!
  3. Was your prom dress made out of duct tape? Did you have one of those giant ‘80s dos? Were you and your date one of the cutest couples? We want your photos! Rosemont Patch is looking for the best, and the worst, prom photos for our ! The couple that gets the most votes will win dinner for two at . So whether your prom photo makes you smile or cringe, !
  4. Looking for some educational entertainment for your toddler? The Arcade Library will host a half-hour of preschool story time for tots from 3 to 5 years of age at 10 a.m., featuring books, music, arts and crafts and, of course, some entertaining and engaging feltboard stories.
  5. Are you a budding writer? Check out the Rancho Cordova Library’s Writing Group! Meeting every third Thursday of the month from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., the group aims to help new writers get started by providing feedback, advice and gentle pushes to perfect your craft.
