Sunday's 5K race was the Star 6 Memorial Run. This race honors the officers who were killed when their helicopter crashed on the bluff above Lake Natoma in 2005.
The race started on the bike trail at Lake Natoma and ran toward the factory store and then back. It was nice to run over the bridge and see the water. Any run near water is good in my opinion.
The course was relatively flat with a couple of small hills. Participants received tech T-shirts, a Nalgene-like water bottle and a finisher medal. After the race there was fruit and water. This was a fun race with great volunteer support and I'll be back next year.

My time was 41:56 and I'm happy with that.
