Rosemont Baseball Scores 100th Win

Thursday's shutout marked a milestone for the team.

Thursday's varsity baseball team win over Valley High School wasn't just sweet because of the 13-0 score.

The shutout was the varsity program's 100th win, Athletic Director Bill Kapp said.

Kapp congratulated the team in an email.

"Coach Paul Martinez (1997 Sacramento Bee Coach of the Year) and his staff have done an outstanding job with our players," Kapp wrote. "Our players (past and present) have worked real hard and are very deserving of this milestone."

So far this season, the team is 2-4, according to MaxPreps.com. , the Wolverines , but were eliminated in their first playoff matchup.

Paul's never been funny ; ). With that said I'm very proud to call Paul my brother.. He Made a lifetime commitment to sports in Sacramento and has spent more time and encouraged kids in a positive direction then their parents.. He's been coaching sports in the community for over 30 years and in my opinion is iconic in the community. He's been a great asset to the community and all the lives he has touched, not liked by all but definitely an asset to me.
