Video: Football Draft Pick Switches Sports During Lockout

NBA D-League coach Gus Armstead and 7th-round NFL draft pick Brandyn Thompson of the Washington Redskins talk about participating in the 7th Annual Maddbacker Celebrity Basketball Game held at Capital Christian High School.

Saturday's Maddbacker Celebrity Basketball Game was put together by former NFL linebacker Adrian Ross, who is also an alum.

The celebrity basketball game was supposed to be at Power Balance Pavilion, but NBA players are not allowed to use team facilities during the lockout, prompting the move to . Sacramento Kings players Donte Greene and Darnell Jackson were invited, but did not attend.

Proceeds from the event go to local charities, including Shriners Hospitals, the Elk Grove Police Activities League and U-CAN Go To College.
