Capital Christian Basketball Headed to NorCal Playoffs Saturday

The Capital Christian High School boys basketball team has been crowned section champion and is headed to the regional playoffs.

The Capital Christian Cougars basketball team is headed to the northern California CIF playoffs for the second year in a row.

The boys basketball team clinched its second consecutive section title last Friday, beating Brookside Christian by one point in the final seconds of their game at Sleep Train Arena.

"Capital Christian, the No. 2 seed, jumped out to an early lead then hung on late, with Tyler Jennings making a free throw with 0.7 seconds left to win the game," the Sac-Joaquin Section wrote on its blog.
