Both CCHS Basketball Teams in Bee's Top 20

Capital Christian High School is ranked one of the top basketball schools in the area.

's two basketball teams are getting some wider recognition.

The school's girls were ranked No. 20 on the Sacramento Bee's list of the top 20 teams in the region at the start of December, while the boys were listed at No. 19.

An updated list from the Bee Monday shows the Capital Christian girls still at No. 20.

Here's how the Bee described each team in its Dec. 8 season preview:

"Coach Suzanne Baker and the Cougars are always one of the area's top small-school programs," the Bee said of the girls team. "Don't expect things to change with senior Chelsey Aardahl and sophomore leading the way."
