Monica Carrillo comes from a family of volunteers. Carrillo started volunteering to help her family and it just stuck. She now teaches Sunday school at Calvary Christian Church and is involved in many school activities.

Carrillo is the Associated Student Body Rally Director at Rosemont High School. As rally director, Carrillo is responsible for rally games, themes and performances.
“She is the poster goddess,” said fellow Rosemont High School student . Carrillo also volunteers for the football and cheer program, where she helps in the snack bar.
“I want to help as much as I can before I am too old and not able to help,” Carrillo said. She said the one word that describes her best would be "driven."
After high school, Carrillo plans to attend Sacramento City College, where she will study to become a special education elementary school teacher.
