Whiz Kid: Kiersten Jackson

Rosemont Patch Whiz Kid:

Name: Kiersten Jackson, Junior

Accomplishments: Kiersten Jackson has a love for softball.  

“During my freshman year I played as the starting pitcher for Rosemont’s softball team.  For the first time in Rosemont High Schools history, our team made it through the first round of play-offs," she said. "This year was great for me because I was voted as co-MVP.”

Key to Awesomeness: Jackson is very involved at Rosemont High School and is a member of student government. 

“One word that would describe me best would be motivated,” she said. “I am a very passionate and caring person. I love doing what I do. I love playing softball and you will see me working around my school with student government making sure that my school is a fun, enjoyable, and safe environment for others around me.” 

After graduation Jackson would like to study nursing and has an interest in helping premature newborns.  For now she will work hard at school and continue learning new skills. 

“History is my favorite subject because it's a lot of fun to learn about. My teacher this year is a student teacher and he's done a great job at keeping me interested by doing different things such as projects, presentations (skits), notes, and playing videos,” she said.
