Video: Does RHS Percussion Show Remind You of Flying?

The original composition helped the Wolverines land first place at a competition in Roseville.

's winter percussion show is just five minutes long, but it's a lot more lively than the average in-flight entertainment.

The Wolverines took first place in their class at a percussion competition at Roseville's over the weekend with "Flight," shown in the above video.

"The music is all original, written by our battery instructor," band director Robin Wilmer said in an email.

The winter color guard also took first place in the weekend's competition, Wilmer said.

"The winter guard's show is called Diablo Rojo," she said. "Both groups placed first in their class, but the guard had stiffer competition. The guard scored 12 points ahead of their nearest rival. That is amazing considering some competitions are determined by hundredths of a point."

Both groups will compete again this weekend at : the percussion show will begin at 12:10 p.m., while the guard will perform at 4:50 p.m.

Roberto, Looks like the discourse is losing steam. There's an article in today's Bee by PaulRead More Krugman (Nobel Prize winner for economics) titled "Austerity policy creating long-term unemployment." I'd be interested in your thoughts on Krugman's take on the debt issue you raised days ago.

Now, now Mark, no need to get personal. Tom brings some important facts to the table. Our nation'sRead More spending is uncontrolled in almost every area including defense. We're not managing our spending and revenue is in the toilet. If the administration continues at this pace, they'll be going to Mexico for our next loan.
