The future of A.M. Winn Elementary School will be decided at tonight’s Sacramento City Unified School District’s board meeting. The board voted on school closures at its meeting two weeks ago, but postponed A.M. Winn to tonight.
Budget problems forced to district to bring back the subject of possible school closures. Students from A.M. Winn will have to transfer to if their school closes. One of the main issues with the school closure would be student safety walking all the way to James W. Marshall.
The issue will be voted by the board tonight. A copy of the agenda is available in the photos section. The meeting begins at 6:30 p.m. at the Serna Center Community Conference Room, 5735 47th Ave. in Sacramento.
