Nov. 3: RCA and SCUSD Meetings, More

A look at what's happening around Rosemont today.

Good morning and welcome to another November day, Rosemont! Here's a quick look at what to expect today:

  1. The Rosemont Community Association will hold its at Atonement Lutheran Church on Kiefer Boulevard. See the attached PDF for more information.
  2. If local schools are more up your alley, the Sacramento City Unified School District Board of Education meets at 6:30 p.m. today at 5735 47th Ave. On the agenda is a mandatory check to ensure all students have the textbooks they need for the year; the district budgeted $1 million for books and materials, but had to spend an additional $27,000, according to a staff report. 
  3. Capital Christian High School's boys soccer team is ramping up for the playoffs, and today the Bee had a prediction about where the team will end up by the end of the season. .
  4. In case you missed it, be sure to of the Save Mart in Rosemont and the Raley's just west of here.
  5. Temperatures will be much cooler today than they were yesterday, and some snow could hit the Sierra Nevada tonight, the Bee reports.

Roberto, Looks like the discourse is losing steam. There's an article in today's Bee by PaulRead More Krugman (Nobel Prize winner for economics) titled "Austerity policy creating long-term unemployment." I'd be interested in your thoughts on Krugman's take on the debt issue you raised days ago.

Now, now Mark, no need to get personal. Tom brings some important facts to the table. Our nation'sRead More spending is uncontrolled in almost every area including defense. We're not managing our spending and revenue is in the toilet. If the administration continues at this pace, they'll be going to Mexico for our next loan.
