Just 10 Percent of Rosemont High Seniors Ready for College, Based On Scores

A new report ranks the Best High Schools in California

Is it possible that just 10 percent of seniors at Rosemont High School are ready for college? That's what a new report suggests.

Rosemont scored close to 10.7 in the college readiness index, based in part on AP test scores, according to a report by US News and World Report magazine issued Tuesday. The report ranked the Best High Schools in California.

A three-step process determines the news magazine's Best High Schools ranking. The first two steps ensured that the schools serve all of their students well, using performance on state proficiency tests as the benchmarks. For those schools that made it past the first two steps, a third step assessed the degree to which schools prepare students for college-level work.
