Golden Pond Gets Christmas Sounds

The Rosemont retirement home received a performance this week.

Members of all three preformed a Christmas concert for the residents of on Tuesday morning.

There were a few dozen of the elderly residence that bundled-up for the late morning concert held outside the main entrance, said Jim "Papa" Reber, band director at . The three bands played a variety of traditional Christmas carols, along with an electric guitar and symphonic version of "Carol of the Bells." Members of the digital photography class also baked cookies and handed them out during the performance to the residence.

The elementary intermediate band performed with its 20 members along with the middle and high school bands totaling over 80 instrumentalists filling the hallways, parking lot, and even some Rosemont homes with the sounds of Christmas.

Both middle and high school bands will travel this Friday at noon to Sierra School, a local special needs school, to perform a free Christmas concert for their students.
