Do You Agree With the Bee's Pick for Sacramento School Board?

The Sacramento Bee announced its endorsements for Sacramento City Unified School District board Friday.

The Sacramento Bee announced its endorsement Friday for Sacramento City Unified School District Area 3, which includes Rosemont.

Two candidates with strong Rosemont ties are running for the open seat, former Rosemont Community Association board member Mark Ambrose and current Rosemont High School PTA President Christina Pritchett.

Eric Sunderland, a SMUD employee endorsed by the Sacramento City Teachers Association, is also running.

The Bee endorsed Ambrose, a lawyer, citing his "thorough understanding of the Education Code and collective bargaining."

"The race is a tough choice between Ambrose and Pritchett, but Ambrose gets the edge," the Bee's Editorial Board wrote.

What do you think of the Bee's pick? Who do you support for school board? Tell us in the comments.

Roberto, Looks like the discourse is losing steam. There's an article in today's Bee by PaulRead More Krugman (Nobel Prize winner for economics) titled "Austerity policy creating long-term unemployment." I'd be interested in your thoughts on Krugman's take on the debt issue you raised days ago.

Now, now Mark, no need to get personal. Tom brings some important facts to the table. Our nation'sRead More spending is uncontrolled in almost every area including defense. We're not managing our spending and revenue is in the toilet. If the administration continues at this pace, they'll be going to Mexico for our next loan.
