Capital Christian Celebrates 95 Graduates

The class of 2011 graduated from Capital Christian High School Friday evening.

’s class of 2011 may have only had 95 students, but together they’ve earned more than $1 million in college scholarships, Superintendent Todd Jacobs said during Friday’s graduation ceremony.

He commended the students, thanking them for choosing “to lead in such a strong way and to truly not just make it through your senior year, but to make a difference in our school…”

The graduating seniors at Capital Christian were also very involved, with more than 80 percent participating in some kind of extracurricular activity, such as sports, performing arts, or student body, school board president Matthew Greenly said.

One of those students was student body president , who addressed the crowd and recalled memories of quirky teachers and pranks students pulled on each other.

“Because of the people around us, the average days weren’t average,” she said. “They were filled with memories. Those are the things that are unforgettable–the faculty and friends that have poured this wisdom into our lives and made memories with us.”
