Get Me the Moon! Children will go home with glittering moon sand after enjoying Eric Carle's clever tale 'Papa Please Get the Moon for Me'. Next children will explore two art stations. At one, they will create Carle style drawings using watercolor and wax crayons to create a moonscape. At the other station, using simple ingredients, the children will mix sand, corn starch, glitter and water to create moon sand, a magical sand that holds its shape and carries a bit of the moon's glow. Program made possible by the Friends of the Rancho Cordova Library.

The Junior League of Sacramento's After School Snack Program provides activities that promote the health and well-being of children and youth in our communities. This program provides students with a tasty nutritional boost and encourages participation in supervised snack preparation using local and seasonal produce. We provide activities that are safe, fun and filled with learning opportunities. Co-sponsored by Sacramento Public Library. Free program for school age children ages 6 - 12 years old.
