Rosemont High Welcomes Middle-Schoolers

High school students met middle school students last week.

Rosemont High School students warmly welcomed upcoming freshmen on Wednesday, Dec. 7. The Middle School Night started with an assembly held at the large theater starting from 6 pm. After that, parents and their children were instructed to go to the small gym. As they walked towards the gym, a bunch of full-spirited students gathered outside to create a grand entrance. These students cheered, screamed at the top of their lungs, and welcomed them with a big smile on their faces, despite the chilly weather.

"These people are so loud! They have so much enthusiasm," said Megan Lee, a high school student. "I love it."

Inside the gym, tables for clubs and class courses were scattered around for the middle school students and parents to check out after the rally. Each table had a representative–either a teacher or a group of students. The tables were decorated with projects and classwork to give a brief description of what will be expected. For culinary, the students themselves showed how to make pasta from scratch. They even made a delicious batch of cookies for everyone for a snack.

The marching band gave a great performance while Rosemont's cheerleading squad danced along. Students played exhilarating games and more performances from group of talented students impressed the crowd. It didn’t last very long for the night was falling, but every minute of it was definitely worthwhile. An ever-lasting energy from everyone made the night a success.

Roberto, Looks like the discourse is losing steam. There's an article in today's Bee by PaulRead More Krugman (Nobel Prize winner for economics) titled "Austerity policy creating long-term unemployment." I'd be interested in your thoughts on Krugman's take on the debt issue you raised days ago.

Now, now Mark, no need to get personal. Tom brings some important facts to the table. Our nation'sRead More spending is uncontrolled in almost every area including defense. We're not managing our spending and revenue is in the toilet. If the administration continues at this pace, they'll be going to Mexico for our next loan.
