Park District Waiting on Pathway Repair Bids, May Move Headquarters to City Hall

The Cordova Recreation and Park District Board of Directors will meet at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at 2197 Chase Dr. in Rancho Cordova. Here's a look at some of the items on the agenda:

District still waiting on bids for park pathways

the district received some positive feedback on recent improvements to and , but it's still waiting on bids to finish pathway repairs there, according to a staff report. District staff will have the bids "in the next two weeks now that the weather conditions are favorable," according to the report.

District may move offices to Rancho Cordova City Hall

The district says its current offices at Hagan Park are only "marginally adequate for the present time," and will either need to be expanded or relocated in the future. One possible option would be a move to the Rancho Cordova City Hall. The city is offering the district a five-year lease at what a staff report calls a "substantially reduced rate," and it would be able to use meeting rooms, offices and cubicles, as well as the city council chambers.

Staff members are also looking into possible upgrades at the current office, including adding the ability to stream video of board meetings online, according to the report.
