Have Room for a Cat? Shelter Seeks Foster Homes

Cats and dogs younger than two months old are kept in foster homes.

Kitten season has arrived, and the is looking for foster homes to house some of their young cats.

"Right now, kitten season is especially challenging, but year-round, we need people to open their homes to animals until they are ready for adoption," the shelter says on its website.

People who volunteer to house foster animals have to provide "some space, time, socialization and love" to young or recovering animals, according to a flier. The shelter will provide bedding, food and medical care.

The shelter is also looking for supplies: food, feeding bottles, cat litter and more.
