County to Repair Rosemont Potholes This Week

The Sacramento County Department of Transportation says it found 46 potholes in Rosemont.

The has begun its yearly spring search for potholes, and visited Rosemont last week.

A two-person crew was able to find 46 potholes in Rosemont, said South Area Manager Michael Garcia. He said they'll be fixed by the end of the week, and possibly as soon as Tuesday.

Potholes marked for repair have been circled in white spraypaint or marked with an X, Garcia said. Residents who find potholes the county missed are encouraged to report them by calling 916-875-5171 or by visiting www.sacdot.com/tools/eservices.

Each year, the county repairs 35,400 potholes in its 5,200 lane miles of roadway, according to a press release. The average cost to repair a pothole measuring one square foot is $16.

The department will perform another check for potholes in the fall.
