Capitalizing on the San Francisco 49ers' appearance in the Super Bowl this weekend, the Sacramento County Animal Shelter is offering 49 percent off all pet adoptions through Sunday.
A pun-filled press release from the county shelter follows:
It’s a Super Bowl Deal at the County Animal Shelter
This is not an illegal procedure…
Sacramento, CA – It’s an interception! We have intercepted the regular adoption fees in honor of Super Bowl XLVII.
Through Sunday, February 3, all regular adoption fees are 49-percent off. It makes no difference whether you are a 49er’s fan, a Ravens fan or just a football fan, you can blitz these savings and score your new lifelong friend.
The Animal Shelter has a multitude of eligible receivers for your team. This isn’t fantasy football and you won’t fumble by taking advantage of this limited time offer. If you are looking for a wet-nose tackle, a cute cornerback, a wire-haired wide receiver, or a cuddly quarterback, we have plenty of team mates for you to snap up.
They are almost free agents at 49-percent off for adoption. But hurry, the play clock runs out on Sunday at 4 p.m.
Regular adoption fees range from $81 to $147 before the 49-percent discount. In addition to the Super Bowl discount, at the Sacramento County Animal Shelter, qualified new pet owners will also receive the following benefits with their pet adoption.
