Cordova Recreation and Park District To Appoint Interim Administrator

The Cordova Recreation and Park District Board of Directors will appoint an interim district administrator in a special meeting Wednesday, but officials won't comment on the fate of the current administrator, David Edmonds.

The board will meet Wednesday in a special meeting scheduled after its work session on the district's Strategic Master Plan. The work session is scheduled to start at 6:30 p.m. and the special meeting, which is closed to the public, is estimated to begin at 8 p.m. Both will be held at the district's main office at Hagan Park, 2917 Chase Dr., Rancho Cordova.

The board's regular meeting has been canceled.

Danielle Sather, the district's executive assistant and assistant clerk of the board, declined to comment on whether Edmonds is still employed by the district, saying it was a personnel matter.

Edmonds could not be reached for comment.
