Animal Shelters Offer 'Cinco de Meowo' Deals on Cats
Feline adoption fees are reduced Thursday at the Sacramento County Animal Shelter.
It may not appear on any official calendar, but Thursday marks "Cinco de Meowo" at local animal shelters, who are offering deals on feline adoptions.
Cats 1 year old and older can be adopted for free at the , the Sacramento City Animal Shelter and the Sacramento SPCA. Also, adoption fees are half-off for kittens. The promotion is only valid Thursday.
The adoption fee includes a spay or neuter surgery, vaccinations, microchipping and a voucher for a free vet exam, according to a Sacramento County flier.

The Sacramento County Animal Shelter, located at 3839 Bradshaw Rd., is open from 12:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
