Active Republicans & Democrats: Rosemont Patch Seeks Your Opinions

Patch plans for comprehensive coverage of the fall elections and would like to enlist the help of locally active Democrats and Republicans for their opinions on the issues.

In case you didn't notice, there's a pretty big election coming up. Rosemont Patch intends to follow it very closely, and we think you could be a big help. Here's how:

We're looking for a few active local Republicans and Democrats to take part in a series of political surveys during the campaign, as the election nears. We've already got some key players on board, but I'd like to find a few more locals from each party.

If you agree to join, Patch will survey you for your opinion on the issues that matter to your party, and your answers will remain anonymous while the aggregate survey results will be reported on Patches across the state.

This requires very little time from you. The surveys will arrive occasionally via email and consist of about two to five questions.

If you're interested, or if you have questions, email rosemont@patch.com or tell us in the comments.

Note: Everyone from elected officials to vocals supporters of candidates are invited to email. The goal of our surveys will be to get a snapshot of each party's responses as the campaign marches on.

We are also looking for knowledgeable and engaged bloggers who are interested in providing their party's insight. If you've got something to say, check this out: http://rosemont.patch.com/blog/apply.

Roberto, Looks like the discourse is losing steam. There's an article in today's Bee by PaulRead More Krugman (Nobel Prize winner for economics) titled "Austerity policy creating long-term unemployment." I'd be interested in your thoughts on Krugman's take on the debt issue you raised days ago.

Now, now Mark, no need to get personal. Tom brings some important facts to the table. Our nation'sRead More spending is uncontrolled in almost every area including defense. We're not managing our spending and revenue is in the toilet. If the administration continues at this pace, they'll be going to Mexico for our next loan.
