Woman Arrested After Meth Allegedly Found in Bra

A woman was arrested Friday on drug charges at a Folsom Boulevard motel.

A 25-year-old woman was arrested Friday at Vince's Motel on Folsom Boulevard, according to a recent Sacramento County Sheriff's Department crime log.

The woman, Stephanie Tarpley, was a parolee at large, according to the crime log. Authorities searched her room Friday evening and found two small plastic bags with methamphetamine stuffed in her bra, the department said.

Officials also found a scale, numerous small plastic baggies and a "glass narcotic smoking pipe with residue," the crime log states.

Tarpley is currently being held in the Sacramento County Main Jail on one count of parole violation and one felony count of narcotics possession. She is ineligible for bail, and is next due in court Tuesday afternoon.

This was in Butterfield, but still very close, just across Folsom. We are seeing more and more Meth busts in our area. This not good.

Butterfield it is, Brad – but something so close has to still have an effect on the Rosemont community. Have you noticed more meth busts specifically, or just more drug busts in general?

Yes, definitely worth noting. Glad you posted it. Just took me a while to figure out where this Vince's Motel was. :-)) Yeah, seems to be more meth moving in over the past year. The last narc bust inside the technical borders was I think on South Port/Kiefer, and it too was possession of meth. Might have been another unspecified one after that - we don't always get specifics. Anyway, as a general trend I sadly am seeing more meth moving in, and it is heavy over in Rancho as you get closer to the Walmart and Coloma area. Its seems to be moving along Folsom and the RT. Not a surprise.

Do you think RT beefing up security or patrols would help at all?

I grew up in Rosemont . My family moved there 32 yes ago. It was a good, quiet suburb at that time. Unfortunately the few Meth users were a small crowd I ended up with most of my teen years. We would travel to South area to get our Meth. Unfortunately now it is very easy to maintain and on every corner. The two Motels "Vince's and Travelodge is totally over run with prostitutes and methamphetamine. I used to think I'd love to raise my family there, because there was so little crime but now its out of control.
