Suspicious Subjects Busted for Pot, One Arrested

Four individuals loitering outside a Kiefer Boulevard 7-Eleven were caught with their weed out.

An officer got a little more than he bargained for Saturday afternoon when he approached a suspicious vehicle at the Kiefer Boulevard 7-Eleven.

It was around 2:30 p.m. when a Sacramento County Sheriff's deputy made self-initiated contact with a suspicious occupied vehicle in the 7-Eleven parking lot, Sacramento County Sheriff's Department spokesman Dep. Jason Ramos said in an e-mail.

"Although a minor amount of marijuana was located in the vehicle (I can’t specify how much), none were arrested for drug charges," Ramos said.

"One of the subjects was cited for a misdemeanor charge of possession of the marijuana," he said. "The marijuana was confiscated by the officer, to be booked for destruction.

"Three of the four were given notice of trespass paperwork, making them arrestable if they return to the location."
