Sequoia Garden Vandalized Again; Work Party Saturday

Volunteers will be able to repair the damage this weekend.

Vandals targeted the this week, but volunteers will have a chance to clean it up this weekend.

Volunteer Andrea Raymond said the vandals didn't cause too much damage.

"[They] uprooted a native tree and took down a fence pole," Raymond wrote in an email. "Hopefully the district will get serious about catching these guys (or gals)."

The vandalism was noticed Monday.

A work party is planned for Saturday, where volunteers will finish pathways and clear the grounds for fall crops.

The work party will have two shifts: 9 a.m. to noon, and 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Interested volunteers are asked to RSVP at 916-363-3326 or apltreadv@yahoo.com.
