Puppy Stolen From Sacramento-Area Front Yard

A 7-month-old dachshund/terrier mix was stolen two weeks ago as his owners watched.

A four-legged member of a local family was stolen out of a front yard two weeks ago, and authorities are asking for help in getting him back.

Freddy, a 7-month-old dachshund/terrier mix, was snatched on Feb. 22 from outside a house north of Rosemont, at La Riviera Drive and Woodman Way.

The Sacramento County Sheriff's Department reported the suspect is a white female.

"The female suspect was a passenger in a dirty royal blue four-door car, possibly a Honda, with dark tinted windows," the department wrote on its Facebook page. "The female suspect had blonde hair. The suspect’s getaway driver was a female adult with brown hair wearing a black shirt and blue jeans."

The sheriff's department's full statement follows:

Help us return “Freddy” to his owners and put these suspects behind bars.

On February 22nd, Freddy’s owner watched helplessly as Freddy was stolen from their front yard by a white female adult. The female suspect was a passenger in a dirty royal blue 4 door car, possibly a Honda, with dark tinted windows. The female suspect had blonde hair. The suspect’s getaway driver was a female adult with brown hair wearing a black shirt and blue jeans. After the theft, the suspects fled the area in the blue car. The theft occurred near La Riviera Drive & Woodman Way in Sacramento.

Freddy is a neutered male dachshund/terrier mix that is 7 month old. Freddy is red (brown) in color. Freddy has a white stripe on his neck and his left ear droops lower than his right ear.

If you have any information that will bring Freddy home or help us identify these theft suspects, please send us a tip at: http://www.sacsheriff.com/tips/

Roberto, Looks like the discourse is losing steam. There's an article in today's Bee by PaulRead More Krugman (Nobel Prize winner for economics) titled "Austerity policy creating long-term unemployment." I'd be interested in your thoughts on Krugman's take on the debt issue you raised days ago.

Now, now Mark, no need to get personal. Tom brings some important facts to the table. Our nation'sRead More spending is uncontrolled in almost every area including defense. We're not managing our spending and revenue is in the toilet. If the administration continues at this pace, they'll be going to Mexico for our next loan.
