The Rancho Cordova Police Department arrested a man and woman just east of Rosemont Monday.

A wanted woman and a man with an allegedly unregistered handgun were arrested near Rosemont Monday, according to a recent Rancho Cordova Police Department crime log.

The woman, 28-year-old Latisha Fruean, was driving on Lincoln Village Drive just east of Bradshaw Road when she was stopped. According to Sacramento County records, Fruean had a warrant out for her arrest because of a previous vandalism charge.

During the stop, her passenger, 35-year-old John James, started to reach for something in his pocket, according to the crime log. Rancho Cordova Police officers ordered him at gunpoint to remove his hand, and he was found to be carrying a loaded .380 handgun, the department said. The gun was found to be unregistered, and he was arrested.
