Rosemont residents want to show they haven't forgotten about Jessica Funk-Haslam, and this week will hold a vigil to mark the one-year anniversary of her death.
The memorial will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday at Rosemont Community Park, near the covered picnic tables.
Sacramento County Sheriff's Department officials will be present, and a comment on the event's page on Patch encourages attendees to wear pink or zebra-print.
"We will be letting off pink heart luminaries into the sky and encourage everyone to wear pink zebra to show support to find the killer. We will never forget," Treva Kelly wrote.
Authorities have no active leads or suspects in the case of 13-year-old Jessica's homicide.
