The Sacramento County Sheriff's Department reports that Payton Hensley, a 13-year-old Rosemont teenager who was reported as an at-risk missing person last week, has been found and is safe.
From the sheriff department's press release:
A 27-year-old man has been arrested after being found with a 13-year-old girl reported missing from a group home earlier this month. Armando Juanico Rivera was booked into the Sacramento County Main Jail yesterday evening on a charge of committing a lewd act with a child under the age of fourteen. Payton Hensley, 13, was placed with Sacramento County authorities in a local receiving facility.
Hensley left a group home in the 3000 block of Subaru Court on May 7th, and was believed to be in the company of, and maintaining an intimate relationship with Rivera. On the evening of May 27th, shortly before 10:00 p.m., sheriff’s deputies responded to a sighting of Rivera and Hensley at a movie theater on Ethan Way in Sacramento. Deputies responded and contacted the two, who were detained without incident.
Rivera is being held on $100,000 bail at this time.
