McDonald's Robbery Latest in String of Fast Food Holdups

A McDonald's in the Rosemont area was the latest in a string of fast food restaurant robberies.

A Rosemont-area McDonald's was robbed Sunday night by a suspect who officials believe has already hit several other fast food eateries in Sacramento.

Just after 10 p.m. Sunday, a masked suspect described as a 6-foot-tall black male with long braids or dreadlocks and a blue jacket or sweatshirt entered the McDonald's on Folsom Boulevard "armed with what appeared to be a black, semi-automatic handgun," Sacramento County Sheriff's Department spokesman Dep. Jason Ramos said by e-mail.

Ramos said authorities "definitely believe this to be related to the string that has been going on."
