A list of recent crimes reported by the Sacramento County Sheriff's Department.

A 43-year-old Rosemont resident was arrested Thursday after authorities say he broke his wife's wrist in an argument last month.

According to a recent Sacramento County Sheriff's Department crime log, Carlos Otero and his wife got into an argument in June. He allegedly pushed the woman against a wall, and she hit her head before falling to the ground. The woman told deputies she braced herself with her hands when she fell, and found a few days later that she had broken her wrist, the crime log states.

On Thursday, Otero pushed his wife against her car and threatened her, according to the crime log. He was later arrested at his Firgrove Court home on domestic violence charges.

Pre-paid credit cards stolen from Rite Aid

A juvenile suspect stole several pre-paid credit cards from the Kiefer Boulevard Rite Aid Saturday, according to the crime log.

The boy grabbed eight of the cards and headed for the door, sheriff's department spokesman Dep. Jason Ramos said. Once outside, the suspect was stopped by a loss prevention officer.

The suspect was able to slip free and escaped with five of the $40 cards, Ramos said in an email.

The boy was described as a 15 or 16-year-old black male standing 5-foot-9 and weighing 145 pounds with brown hair and eyes.
