Jeffrey Campbell on Friday received a prison sentence of 16 years to life.
A 48-year-old man convicted of stabbing a 19-year-old man and dumping his body just east of Rosemont received the maximum prison sentence Friday, according to the Sacramento County District Attorney's Office.
Jeffrey Bruce Campbell, a Rancho Cordova resident, murdered Frederick Howard in May of 2009, then left his body behind a dumpster in the 3100 block of Fite Cir., about a mile east of Bradshaw Road and Business Park Drive.
According to the Sacramento Bee, the victim was a drug dealer trying to collect on a $100 debt owed by Campbell. His body was found by a Fite Circle employee emptying the trash the next day.
