High-Speed Pursuit Leads Officers from Zinfandel to Howe

A high-speed pursuit traveled along Highway 50 through the Rosemont area Wednesday, according to the Sacramento County Sheriff's Department.

A 34-year-old man was arrested Wednesday after leading officers on a brief high-speed pursuit along Highway 50, according to the Sacramento County Sheriff's Department.

The driver, Jacobi Sanford, allegedly fled around 11 a.m. when officers tried to pull him over near Zinfandel Drive and Highway 50 in Rancho Cordova.

Sanford allegedly drove to Highway 50 and sped westbound at nearly 90 miles per hour, then exited at Howe Avenue. He pulled over at Howe Avenue and La Riviera Drive, and was taken into custody without incident, sheriff's department spokesman Dep. Jason Ramos said in a press release.
