Gunshots Reported Sunday Near Albert Einstein

No arrests were made and no injuries were reported.

At least three people reported hearing gunfire early Sunday morning near Albert Einstein Middle School, authorities say.

Sacramento County Sheriff's Department spokesman Dep. Jason Ramos said around 1:45 a.m. Sunday, the department received three calls from people on Kiefer Boulevard and Mirandy Drive saying they'd heard gunfire.

Around the same time, Ramos said, two juveniles were seen running toward an apartment complex in the 9400 block of Kiefer Boulevard. He said no further description was available for the youths.

"Deputies checked the area and, aside from a small party at the apartments, found no damage, shell casings or anything else," Ramos said in an email.

Residents posted about the incident in a Facebook group for Rosemont Neighborhood Watch, with one user posting photos of bullet shells he said were found the next morning in the same area.
