Driver Allegedly Runs Red Light at Manlove and Watt, Causing Van to Flip
A driver was taken to a local hospital after a crash in the Rosemont area Monday.
A driver turning from South Watt Avenue to Manlove Road was hit by a driver who allegedly ran a red light earlier this week, the CHP announced Thursday.
The 34-year-old victim, who was driving a Toyota Sienna minivan, was traveling southbound on South Watt Avenue around 8:15 a.m. Monday. She had a green light to turn left onto Manlove Road, the CHP said.
According to the CHP, a 30-year-old woman driving north on South Watt Avenue in a Chevrolet Malibu ran the red light at Manlove, hitting the Toyota van.

"The front side of the Malibu broadsided the right side of the Toyota, causing the Toyota to overturn onto its left side," the CHP said in a press release.
The driver of the Toyota received minor injuries and was transported to a local hospital by ambulance, the CHP said.

A spokeswoman for the Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District confirmed that one fire engine and one medic responded to the crash, and said the driver's injuries were non-life-threatening. She said the driver did not need to be extricated.
