Crime Log July 23-25: Physical Assaults
Two men arrested Monday after allegedly hitting girlfriends in separate incidents.
The following are incidents that occurred in or near Rosemont, according to the Sacramento County Sheriff's Department's weekly crime summary:
Monday, 12:22 p.m.
A 31-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of assault after allegedly pulling his girlfriend out of a car, throwing her to the ground, then kicking and punching her numerous times. The 51-year-old female victim said she started to black out as a result of the assault on the 9800 block of Lincoln Village Drive. Rene Ocampo-Carillo was arrested and booked into the main jail.

Monday, 6:30 p.m.
A 25-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of assault after allegedly keeping his girlfriend from fleeing their home and punching her. The couple, which had been in a relationship for about a year and living together for about the same time, got into a verbal argument, which escalated into a physical confrontation. At the 3700 block of Port Drive, Armando Castillo allegedly grabbed his girlfriend by the neck, threw her to the ground, then grabbed her by the hair when she tried to leave the home. He then punched her with a closed fist, which caused swelling and bruising. He was arrested and booked into the main jail.
