Coldwell Banker Burglary Suspect Claims to be Employee

The following information was supplied by the Sacramento County Sheriff's Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

When a silent burglar alarm went off at a 5034 Sunrise Blvd. Coldwell Banker Sacramento County Sheriff's Department deputies arrived to find someone with keys to the business, claiming to be an employee. Except she wasn't an employee.

On Thursday, Oct. 8, deputies arrived at the real estate brokerage firm and found Jule Vierra, 35, out front with the keys to the business. Upon contacting the business's owner, the individual stated Vierra was not an employee and did not have permission to be in the business, according to the deputy report.

"It is believed that she obtained the keys from inside, after finding an unlocked door to the business," Sheriff's spokesman Jason Ramos said in an email. "Vierra is definitely not an employee, and it was clear to deputies that she was committing a burglary upon their arrival."

Ramos also noted Vierra has no relationship with the responding party, who advised that he had no idea who she was.

"She did give a statement to deputies, but I can’t disclose details since the case is pending," Ramos said.

Ramos explained it was unclear what Vieraa was after, and since deputies arrived before she had time to confiscate anything, it's likely she wasn't sure either.

"She was probably not sure what she was looking for until she found it ... anything of value that she came across would have been fair game," he said. "We just got there too quickly."

Vierra was arrested and booked at the main jail.
