Bad Driving Leads to Meth Arrest, Market Robbed

Recent crimes in the Rosemont area.

A 42-year-old stopped because of his bad driving in the Rosemont area Monday afternoon ended up being arrested on drug charges, according to the Sacramento County Sheriff's Department.

Daniel Lee Flynn was stopped after deputies observed him driving slowly and swerving near Bradshaw Road and Kiefer Boulevard, according to a crime log.

Sheriff's department spokesman Dep. Jason Ramos said Flynn was not found to be under the influence, but methamphetamine was found in his waistband, according to the crime log.

Flynn is currently being held on charges of violating his parole and his probation, as well as two other felony charges. He's not eligible for bail, and is due in court Wednesday.

Folsom Boulevard market robbed

A convenience store on Folsom Boulevard was targeted by armed robbers on Thursday, according to the crime log.

Power Mart, located at 9015 Folsom Blvd., was robbed by two armed men just before 9:30 that night.

They took an undisclosed amount of cash from the business, and stole a cell phone and other property from one of the clerks, Ramos said.

The suspects are described as a black males standing 5-foot-6 and weighing 175 pounds. One is described as being around 25 years old while the other is between 20 and 39 years old. Hair and eye color descriptions were not listed.
