Folsom Firm Wins Engineering Excellence Award

Sacramento, CA – HDR Engineering, Inc. of Folsom has received an Honor Award from the American Council of Engineering Companies of California (ACECCA) for their work on the Rio Dell Wastewater Treatment Plant Upgrade in Rio Dell, CA.

HDR was contracted by the City of Rio Dell as the prime consultant to design the wastewater treatment plant upgrades, which includes a cutting edge thermal dryer technology that eliminated all of the City's biosolids disposal and storage issues, saved the City $15,000/year in hauling cost, and provided the City with a new source of revenue from the sustainable Class A biosolids it produces. The City of Rio Dell's wastewater treatment plant now meets all permit requirements and exceeds all standards across the board. The project was delivered ahead of schedule and within the original budget.

HDR Engineering, Inc. will be honored at the 2014 EEA Banquet held on February 3 in Sacramento.  Registration:  ACECCA 2014 EEA Banquet Event
