Sac Kings to Feed Needy at Capital Christian Center Monday

Coaches, staff and other personalities will provide food to the less fortunate next week.

With the fate of the NBA season still up in the air, Sacramento Kings coaches and staff are finding something besides basketball to focus on next week.

Coaches, former players, dancers and other staff will serve a Thanksgiving dinner to needy families at 4 p.m. Monday at .

"The event kick starts Maloof Sports & Entertainment’s 10th annual Season of Giving: A series of charitable projects included as part of an ongoing effort to make a positive and meaningful difference in the lives of families in need throughout the Sacramento region," the team said in a press release.

The families who receive food will also get a complimentary toiletry kit, and books will be given to children in attendance, the release stated.

In attendance will be assistant coaches Bobby Jackson and Jim Eyen, former player Scot Pollard, Slamson, Kings dancers and more. The event is being sponsored by Wells Fargo, the release stated.
