Oct. 13: Volunteers Sought, Epic Life, Dominican University Visit, More

A look at what's happening in and around Rosemont.

Good morning and welcome to another Thursday, Rosemont! The work week is almost through, and here's a quick glance at what to expect today:

  1. is looking for volunteers for its Oct. 31 Family Fun Fair. The event runs from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., and involves carnival games, bounce houses and other inflatable attractions, and more. Click here for information on volunteering.
  2. Speaking of Capital Christian Center, the Micron Avenue church will hold its weekly Epic Life meeting tonight. The group, focused on college students and young adults, meets at 7 p.m. in the Performing Arts Center.
  3. 's are just a day away. The celebration will include a parade down Kiefer Boulevard starting at 3:30 p.m., a football game, and a dance for students. All community members are encouraged to attend, but even if you don't, be sure to expect delays on Kiefer Boulevard around the time of the parade.
  4. Speaking of Rosemont High School, students there will have a chance to meet with Dominican University representatives today to learn more about that school. .
