Come to the Party: Celebrate Your Community Saturday

Rosemont Celebration of Community Event

The big day is almost here!

Don’t miss the annual free Celebration of Community this Saturday, August 11, from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Rosemont Community Park. This great family event will feature rides, games, entertainment, food, and lots of valuable information.

This year will include a special “Teen Zone” along with the popular pony rides from last year. Law enforcement and the fire department will be there so you can see their equipment and chat with the officers.

Learn about our growing Neighborhood Watch program, our Sheriff’s Activities League, our Park Watch program, and get your kids fingerprinted for free so you have positive identification records. Artists and musicians will keep you fascinated and the Rosemont High School drum squad and cheer team will put on demonstrations.

This event is in its fourth year and is growing in popularity. The start time has been moved up a bit earlier to take advantage of the cooler time of day, so you have no excuse this year. Come out and meet more of the caring and interesting people who live in our great community.

This post was submitted on behalf of the Rosemont Community Association, and also appeared in a Rosemont Community Association newsletter.

Roberto, Looks like the discourse is losing steam. There's an article in today's Bee by PaulRead More Krugman (Nobel Prize winner for economics) titled "Austerity policy creating long-term unemployment." I'd be interested in your thoughts on Krugman's take on the debt issue you raised days ago.

Now, now Mark, no need to get personal. Tom brings some important facts to the table. Our nation'sRead More spending is uncontrolled in almost every area including defense. We're not managing our spending and revenue is in the toilet. If the administration continues at this pace, they'll be going to Mexico for our next loan.
