Week in Review, Feb. 12: King's Skate Country, New Family Features, Basketball

A glance back at the week ending Feb. 12.

Another eventful week in Rosemont is coming to a close. By far the largest story this week was the (and it's a story that is far from over), but there was more in the news, too! Here's a look at some of the stories you may have missed:

  1. - This video highlighted the winner of a recent poetry competition held at Rosemont High School.
  2. - Residents looking for a more affordable way to have their pet spayed or neutered have a nearby solution.
  3. - The Sacramento City Unified School District will be painting a picture of its budget at this upcoming series of parent forums.
  4. - In this new weekly feature on Rosemont Patch, we take a look around the area and find all the best deals for you.
  5. - One only has to read through a few of the comments on this story to feel the impact the planned closure of this business has had on Rosemont residents.
  6. - We're still looking for nominations for Rosemont's cutest couple! A free dinner for two is on the line!
  7. - King's Skate Country has been around since the 1970s, and we asked readers to submit photos from past outings.
  8. - Residents have acted quickly to begin building support for the Bradshaw Road roller rink. Here's what one woman is doing.
  9. - Ever wonder how much homes are going for in the area? Here's a look at some of the homes that went off the market in January.
  10. - With Cupid's favorite holiday just around the corner, here are some suggestions for places to go with that special someone (even if it's your dog!).
  11. - This time our "Pet of the Week" feature included a twist: The commenter who can come close to guessing this dog's actual weight can win some free Patch swag!
